Professional Education

Kadlec offers professional education to improve your skills and knowledge. Upon successful course completion, participants receive a completion card. Please call 942-2600 for fees, dates, times and location.

 

 

The CPR classes we offer include:
BLS - Healthcare Provider INITIAL Course: This six hour course is designed for the healthcare providers who have not had a BLS Healthcare Provider Course before or who would like the extended format of the longer course. Topics include CPR for the adult, child and infant, two rescuer CPR, management of foreign body airway obstruction, heart disease and stroke (risk factors, signs/symptoms, prevention and survival action) and automated external defibrillators (AED).
BLS - Healthcare Provider RENEWAL Course: This 3 and 1/2 hour course is designed for Healthcare Professionals. You must have a current CPR card to participate in this class. You will review healthcare provider basic life support. Topics include CPR for the adult, child and infant, two rescuer CPR, management of foreign body airway obstruction, heart disease and stroke (risk factors, signs/symptoms, prevention and survival action) and automated external defibrillators (AED).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS):  This course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult arrest situation.  Topics include respiratory emergencies, cardiac arrest, and pre-arrest emergencies. Initial and renewal courses are available.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS):   The goal of the PALS course is to provide the learner with information needed to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, strategies to assist in preventing arrest situations and skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children.  Initial and renewal courses are available. .

Trauma Nurses Care Course:   The purpose of TNCC is to present core-level knowledge and psychomotor skills associated with implementing the trauma nursing process.  Initial and renewal courses are available.
